Artist Appreciation: Wayward Daughter

Wayward Daughter are an alternative duo from my hometown - Watford. Made up of two lovely ladies Lydia McAllister and Becky East, these two have been somewhat of a YouTube sensation and have developed fan bases all over the world.

The reason I have chosen to appreciate them today is because they are two young and extremely talented young ladies who started jamming together when they were just 16 and 18. Since then they have managed to reach over 4 million YouTube views and over 30,000 subscribers. They have played countless gigs all over England and have even supported McFly in their "Up Close And Personal" Tour.

For two girls to go from jamming in their bedrooms to accomplishing all of that - I think that deserves a little bit of appreciation. And they're not done yet... They've been working hard together to complete their full band EP (should be out later this year) and already have some live acoustic tracks up on iTunes. These girls just don't stop!

Talented, hard working, kind, beautiful.. the full artist package! If you don't believe me yet, see for yourselves...

I just want to post every single one of their videos on here but I don't think that would be very practical, so here's just a few videos but go ahead and check out the rest of their covers and originals on the YouTube channel. "Like" their Facebook page, follow them on Twitter, and just basically do your research, you definitely will not regret it!

PS: If you don't have plans for this Saturday evening (03/11/12) and you live near Watford, feel free to pop down to Cassiobury Park for their FREE fireworks night. Wayward Daughter will be performing at 6pm - there will be rides, other live bands, food stands and of course FIREWORKS. Hope to see you there :)
