Albums Out Next Week..

A few good (well good looking) albums are set to come out next week. Looks like 2013 really is setting up to be a FANTASTIC year for music. So many great albums and singles have already been released and we've seen comebacks from the likes of Destiny's Child, Fall Out Boy, Justin Timberlake and more. PLUS, there are a bunch of craaaaazy festivals coming up in the summer with amazing line-ups (Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, T In The Park, Wireless, Download, Bestival, Latitude, etc). But for now, you can get ready for it all by picking up one (or two...) of these albums out next week...

PALMA VIOLETS - 180
Truth be told I haven't actually heard many of their songs but from what I've seen/heard I can already tell this is going to be an album and a half. Indie Rock fans everywhere - keep your eyes open for this record. This may well find itself creeping into your "Top 25 Most Played" list this year. If you're not yet sold, have a listen to this. The album is set to drop on the 25th of February, pre-order/order it here.

HILLSONG UNITED - ZION
Hillsong United are an Australian Christian Rock group and this album will be their third studio record. I have some of their previous albums/singles and none of them have disappointed me thus far and Zion is not looking like it's going to break the cycle anytime soon! As a worship album, the album will definitely speak to you spiritually and as a music album - it is just darn good music. Would definitely recommend giving this a listen. If you need a little taster, listen to this. The record hits shelves on the 26th of February, pre-order/order it here.

THEME PARK - THEME PARK
A fairly new find for me. Theme Park are an alternative band from London. They will be releasing this as their debut album and it's looking like it could be a good'un. They haven't had too much hype surrounding it (whereas Palma Violets have all eyes on their debut record) but it's still looking like this could mean big things for them once it drops. If you'd like to form your own opinion of them, check out their latest single. The album is being released on the 25th of February, pre-order/order it here.

JOHNNY MARR - THE MESSENGER
Well... for a man who played guitar with The Smiths, The Cribs and many others, guested on albums with the likes of Oasis and Pearl Jam AND produced a few albums himself... I'm going to say that you definitely cannot go wrong in buying a copy of his first solo album - The Messenger. Mr Marr definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to making hits. Have a listen to his single from the record if you need further convincing. The album will be available on the 25th of February, pre-order/order it here.

If any of these albums caught your eye, go and pick them up next week. You probably won't regret it... And if any of those festival line-ups caught your eye, look into getting a ticket - nothing beats a festival experience! :)
