So we have another, even busier week of album releases coming up. March has barely even started and music world hasn't slowed down for one minute. I maintain that 2013 is going to be an immense year for music and in light of the recent NME award ceremony/nominations/winners I can safely say that I haven't lost complete faith in the music industry. Hopefully these next few albums coming out next week won't make me change my mind ;)...
STEREOPHONICS - GRAFFITI ON THE TRAIN
Well, if you know anything about British Indie Rock music then you know who the Stereophonics are, and if you don't know anything about British Indie Rock, then listening to the Stereophonics would not be a bad way to get to know. They are a consistently talented band, from Wales, who've been around for more than 10 years! So let's see if they have actually bettered with age ;) Go and pick up the album in stores or online on the 4th of March.
DIDO - GIRL WHO GOT AWAY
I haven't heard anything solo from Dido in absolutely ages and to be completely honest, I didn't even know that she was still making music. But lo and behold, she is releasing a new solo album on the 4th of March! Dido is a Pop singer from London. For those of you that have not yet had the chance to experience Dido's brilliance, have a listen to this track before you grab the new album..
BETHEL MUSIC - WITHOUT WORDS
Bethel are an awesome worship band from California. Their latest album "For The Sake Of The World" was one of my favourite albums last year and definitely my favourite worship albums last year. It's time to see if they can do the same again this year with "Without Words" - available online on the 5th of March. Whether you're Christian or not, this is just guaranteed good music. Have a listen here if you need further persuasion :) *FYI this song was my SOTD a few weeks ago*.
HOOKWORMS - PEARL MYSTIC
Truth be told, I haven't actually ever heard any of Hookworms' music, but I read an interview of theirs in the latest Q Magazine and they really intrigued me. And so, with their new album about to drop on the 4th of March I thought buying it would be a good way to formulate an actual opinion of their music haha. So feel free to do the same by clicking here and pre-ordering/buying their new record.
BASTILLE - BAD BLOOD
Bastille caused quite a stir in the UK last year with their EP also entitled "Bad Blood" and they're getting bigger and bigger everyday! Being an Alternative/Indie Rock band in the UK has never been so profitable and Bastille have definitely chosen the right time to pounce. Although they'd fit under the umbrella term of 'Alternative', Bastille definitely have their own unique sound and so, I would definitely recommend picking up a copy of the full length LP when it hits shelves on the 4th of March. They also released an EP named "Pompeii" earlier this year, I would also suggest getting your hands on that. :)
