So PSY is back with what I can only believe is his follow-up single to the viral hit "Gangnam Style". This landed on the interwebs this morning and I've only managed to get through the full song once, it's pretty tragic, but here, listen for yourselves..
It actually upsets my how repetitive and monotonous this song is, but fact of the matter is, songs like this can be, and are being, released every day and they'll get to number one simply because they're "catchy" or "fun to dance to". All it takes to make pop songs like these nowadays is some repetitive and catchy lyrics, a dance break and some high pitched drum and bass every now and again. In all actuality, 9 times out of 10 these types of songs are just lazy, ridiculously stupid lyrically and all the same. I'd hate to think that this is what the pop music industry is becoming but here we have a prime example. Let's see if this doesn't make it into the "Top 10" within a week...
