In light of the recent drama involving Solange assaulting Jay-Z in an elevator after the Met Gala here. I thought I'd have a listen through her albums again. Whilst doing so, I stumbled upon this old gem...
SOLANGE - T.O.N.Y.
This was actually one of the first songs that I ever heard of Solange's solo material and it really caught my attention. Fresh sound, great vibe and the video is interesting - specifically the note she hits at around 1:57 sealed the deal. She has very silky vocals and although I'm sure that people will always compare her to her sister Beyoncé, she has a unique style and she definitely holds her own as an artist. Looking forward to more material!
